Social

and awareness events
to bring about gender

sustainable livelihoods
for women.

Financial
Inclusion.

Including women into the
formal economy by facilitating
formal credit and ensuring
timely repayment.

Our Mode
of Operation.

A step-by step walk through of our
operational strategies & and their execution.

STEP 1

Self Help Groups (SHGs)

Women (in groups of 10-12) are
organized into SHGs by MAVIM
Sahgyoginis (our field staff).

SAVING MONEY

They are encouraged to meet monthly,
and start systematically saving money.

INTERNAL LENDING

Once they reach a certain threshold,
they start lending money to the members.

STEP 2

SECURE BETTER LIVELIHOOD

SHGs are then organized into Community
Managed Resource Centers and it is the
CMRC’s job to advice women on how to
secure better livelihoods, what enterprises
to start and provide the necessary support.

SECURE LOANS FROM BANKS

Another major role the CMRC plays is it
acts as a last mile service delivery agent
for Banks. Through CMRC’s, women are
able to secure loans from banks instead
of informal moneylenders.

ACCESS TO NEW MARKETS

CMRC’s also act as aggregators of
products manufactured by SHGs and
are responsible for providing access to
new and improved markets.

STEP 3

MENTORSHIP

CMRC’s are all formed by MAVIM
and are under MAVIM’s mentorship.

INNOVATION & PARTNERSHIP

MAVIM facilitates new partnerships, provides
access to ideas of innovative business models
helps in capacity building of CMRC’s etc.
